HIGH-PRECISION TEST BENCH DRIVE SYSTEMS – ZF FRIEDRICHSHAFEN
ZF Test Systems develops high-precision test benches for drive systems, suspensions, and brakes. Our custom-designed electric motors support ZF with the highest levels of efficiency and reliability in test bench technology. With our technology, we make a significant contribution to the quality assurance of modern drivetrain systems.
SHIP PROPULSION – HYBRID SHIP PROPULSION (HSP)
Together with our partner Hybrid Ship Propulsion BV (Rotterdam), we have supplied PM motors and generators for over 100 shipbuilding projects, serving as main propulsion units, thrusters, or for PTI/PTO applications. The modernization of inland waterway vessels and the conversion of diesel engines to hybrid propulsion systems are just as much a part of our portfolio as equipping fully electric ferries with OSWALD machinery.
WORLD’S LARGEST ELECTRIC VEHICLE – EMINING AG
eMining AG offers electrically powered specialty vehicles. In these retrofits, the diesel engine and fuel tank are replaced with electric drives and high-voltage batteries. OSWALD developed a special motor for the 110-ton eDumper shown here (fully loaded). The eDumper transports up to 45 tons of limestone and marl from the mountain to the valley. On the way down, the batteries are recharged through regenerative braking. With a full battery and an empty load, it then travels back uphill using only electric power. During operation, the eDumper never needs to be charged from the grid.
