The Hannover Trade Fair 2013 in Retrospect
State Secretary for Economics and Technology Stefan Kapferer visited the OSWALD booth to learn about the state of the art in the development of superconducting motors.
Senior Chief Engineer and CEO Bernhard Oswald und Thomas Reis emphasised the enormous drive of the mid-sized company to produce and market high-power density superconducting motors for industrial applications with all the necessary speed and diligence. Aside from other motor types, the company currently also develops a 26,000 Nm torque superconducting motor. The latter development is supported by a BMWI grant [BMWI, German Federal Ministry of Economics and Technology.
Now as always, our development projects, including our developments in the superconductor technology, clearly show the focus of our company’s production programme on top-notch energy-efficient drive technologies. Resource preservation is a central issue in today’s technology, and our developments are rightfully considered a valuable contribution to energy preservation.
