WORLDWIDE LARGEST E-VEHICLE – ELECTRO DUMPER
The eMining AG offers electric driven special vehicles. In retrofits the diesel drive including tank are replaced by electric drives and high-voltage batteries. OSWALD developed a special motor for the pictured 110-ton eDumper (fully loaded).
The eDumper transports up to 45 tonnes of chalk and marl from the mountain to the valley. On the way down the batteries are charged recuperative. With full battery and empty machine the vehicle drives purely electric uphill again. When used, the eDumper must never be charged at the grid.
WHEEL HUB MOTORS – NOELL MOBILE SYSTEMS
The associates of Noell Crane Systems develop and manufacture the most advanced mobile port cranes. These port cranes are called ‘straddle carriers’. Today, they stack containers in almost all harbors of the world. It is hard to imagine today’s global goods exchange without these cranes.
ELECTRIC MOTORS FOR THE STAGE TECHNOLOGY – TTS
TTS equips theaters, concert halls and convention centers with modern stage equipment from individual machines and equipment to complete systems.
OSWALD electric motors are known for precision, power and quiet run. They are therefore particularly suitable for powering stage equipment.
SMALL HYDRO POWER – DIVE TURBINES
Merely 17% of all resources, which could be used for the generation of hydro power, are in fact put to use. Engineers working for FELLA and OSWALD developed a high tech DIVE turbine, which will contribute to a gentler use of environmental resources. The underwater turbine allows it to obtain energy from running water, residual flows and irrigation systems.
COMBINATION MOTORS FOR MATERIAL TESTING – INSTRON
Pulling, pressing, bending, hitting, twisting and permanently fatiguing are the methods used by the Instron Company. Machines built by Instron test the characteristics of materials over days or weeks (for continuous use parts). Many years of real world experience (e. g. flying airplanes or driving vehicles) are compressed into a short time of laboratory testing.
Injection moulding machines – Sumitomo (SHI) Demag Plastics Machinery GmbH
Sumitomo (SHI) Demag Plastics Machinery GmbH, Schwaig/Germany, is one of the world’s largest manufacturers of injection moulding machines for the processing of plastics.
The Japanese-German company was formed in the spring of 2008 by merging the injection moulding activities of Sumitomo Heavy Industries (SHI) and those of Demag Plastics Group.
Wire Saws – PRECISION SURFACING SOLUTIONS GmbH & Co. KG (Meyer Burger Technology AG)
The PRECISION SURFACING SOLUTIONS GmbH & Co. KG is the market and technology leader among the suppliers of machines and systems solutions for the solar and semiconductor as well as for the sapphire and optoelectronic industries. The company uses separating methods to create thin wafers, prisms and other shapes out of hard, brittle materials.
Mixer – Gustav Eirich GmbH & Co. KG
The EIRICH Company provides machines, equipment and procedures, which are needed in industrial preparation engineering. The focus is on machines, which grind and mix materials. Powerful OSWALD torque motors help to accomplish the most demanding grinding tasks even when high temperatures are an aggravating factor.
Metal forming / presses – Schuler
Schuler power presses form sheet steel and sheet aluminium metal plates into car fenders (wings), roofs or side panels and so on, in six forming stages and with a force totalling up to 97,000 kN. Production speeds of up to 17 parts per minute are achieved. This makes Schuler technology faster, more accurate and more energy efficient than the competition’s.
